Spur Community Foundation Awards $200,000 to Local Nonprofits

Seven Wood River Valley nonprofits have been awarded grants through Spur Community Foundation’s Impact Grant Cycle. Totaling $200,000, this cycle’s grants support projects that have the potential to drive substantial, positive change in an organization or address an important community need.

Generous donors who contribute to Spur’s discretionary funds make these grants possible. Grant applications are thoroughly evaluated by Spur’s Grants Committee with careful consideration given to multiple factors, including Spur’s knowledge of community needs and opportunities. The Board of Directors then reviews the Committee’s recommendations and confirms which grants to award.

This cycle’s recipients are:

  • Blaine County Charitable Fund - Financial Assistance Programs - $20,000

  • Family Health Services Corporation - Affordable Primary Care in Bellevue -$50,000

  • Flourish Foundation Inc. - Researching the Mindful Awareness Program - $25,000

  • Lee Pesky Learning Center - Literacy Pods Program - $25,000

  • Sun Valley Museum of Art - Hailey Campus Restoration & Artist Residency Initiative - $25,000

  • The Alliance of Idaho - Community Immigration Attorney - $30,000

  • Wood River Community YMCA - SummerBridge Education Camp 2026 - $25,000

Spur received a number of strong applications this cycle, and while we’re proud to support several, we were not able to fund every deserving project. Many initiatives are still seeking additional resources to fully realize their goals. If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities, please reach out to Anna Parker, contact below. In keeping with Spur’s mission to inspire effective philanthropy, we work to connect people who want to make a difference with programs delivering meaningful impact.
