Elevate Your Impact

Your go-to resource

Spur is dedicated to ensuring local nonprofits have the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to be the best they can be. Together, we can create positive change and build a stronger, more vibrant community.

Grant Opportunities

Through its discretionary funds, Spur grants annually to dozens of organizations that serve Blaine County. We think strategically about how and where philanthropic investments can do the most good and believe effective nonprofit organizations are essential to a thriving community.

Advisory Services

Most of Spur’s advising services are provided cost-free to nonprofits. We consider it essential to our mission of promoting excellence, efficacy, and efficiency in the sector. Examples of past consulting services include:  business plan and strategic plan development, Board development, best practice benchmarking, fundraising guidance, and meeting facilitation.

Professional Development

We understand that continuous growth and learning are essential for organizations to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the nonprofit sector. That's why we offer a number of professional development programs for nonprofit leaders. We are committed to investing in your professional growth to empower your organization and amplify your impact.

Organizational Assessments

As part of our advisory services, Spur offers a comprehensive assessment process through which nonprofits receive organizational feedback from the perspective of an investment-minded funder. To date, more than 40 nonprofits have participated and found the experience enlightening and valuable to their strategic development.
